[origin: WO2022098385A1] A specimen collection device for the collection of biological samples is provided. The specimen collection device provides for the sterile and safe collection of biological samples from patients, as well as efficient removal of the biological sample from the device into a reagent solution for analysis. In one aspect, a plurality of collection devices in combination with a single regent container or vial can be part of a kit used for the diagnosis of a group of individuals.
