[origin: US2022112634A1] A heat-activated crimping textile is disclosed including a plurality of a first yarn, a plurality of a second yarn interlaced with the plurality of the first yarn, and a plurality of a third yarn interlaced with the plurality of the first yarn, the plurality of the second yarn, or both. The third yarn includes a heat-activated shrinkage factor of greater than 30% when exposed to a predetermined temperature. When the heat-activated crimping textile is exposed to an elevated temperature of at least the predetermined temperature, a plurality of crimps propagates along the heat-activated crimping textile, forming a crimped textile.
