[origin: EP4226797A1] [Problem] To provide a mechanism with which it is possible to further improve the quality of experience of using an inhalation device. [Solution] Provided is an inhalation device comprising: a chamber accommodating a base material; a heating unit heating the base material accommodated in the chamber to generate an aerosol; and a control unit controlling operation of the heating unit on the basis of a heating profile defining a temporal transition of a target temperature, which is a target value of the temperature of the heating unit. The chamber includes an opening through which the base material is inserted and a holding unit holding the base material. The holding unit includes a pressing unit pressing a part of the base material, and a non-pressing unit.
