Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2022078789A1] The invention relates to a packaging machine (28a, 28b) for packaging a container group (4) consisting of multiple containers (3) in a packaging blank (29), the machine having a positioning and folding unit (31) for arranging the container group (4) on a bottom portion (33) of the packaging blank (29) and for laterally placing the side portions (34) of the packaging blank (29) against the container group (4), and a transport unit for conveying the container group through the packaging machine (28a, 28b). According to the invention, the packaging machine (28a, 28b) has an application unit (1a, 1b, 1c) for applying a material blank (2a, 2b, 2c) to the container group (4), wherein the application unit (1a, 1b, 1c) has at least one pressing element (7a, 7b, 7c), which has a tool plate (8a, 8b, 8c, 8d) and revolves continuously around a circular path such that the tool plate (8a, 8b, 8c, 8d) can be adjusted between an outer engagement position and an inner engagement position with the containers (3), the circular path spanning a plane which is oriented perpendicular to the transport plane. The packaging machine (28a, 28b) further has a storage and feed unit (32) for storing and providing material blanks (2a, 2b, 2c) at the application unit (1a, 1b, 1c).
