[origin: WO2022083811A1] The invention relates to a working cylinder which has end-position damping, wherein a piston ring passes over an axially offset pressure-medium connection and encloses a pressure-medium damping volume. The piston ring comprises a ring joint, which has a base portion and a protruding portion, and the piston ring is of sealing design there. The pressure medium flows out of the pressure-medium damping volume via an axial transfer channel, which can be formed by a cylinder-tube axial groove or by a piston-ring axial groove. The invention also relates to a damping piston ring, which is of sealing design and has a piston-ring axial groove.
