[origin: WO2022083894A1] The invention relates to passport or security paper (10) for valuable documents such as passports, shares or entry tickets, having a paper substrate (12). According to the invention, the passport or security paper (10) contains a window security thread (20), which is apparent in window regions (22) on the surface of the paper substrate and is embedded in the interior of the paper substrate in web areas (24) lying therebetween below a paper web (26), the window security thread (20) is provided with an adhesive layer (28) only on its underside opposite the window regions (22) and is connected in integrally bonded fashion to the paper substrate (12) by means of this underside via the adhesive layer (28), and the window security thread (20) has no adhesive layer on its upper side and is not connected to the paper webs (26) in the web regions (24).
