[origin: WO2022090721A1] The present invention provides a pipeline coupling apparatus 1 to couple first and second ends of adjacent pipeline sections 3, 5, in use. The apparatus includes a first part 7 and at least a second part 9, and engagement means 13 provided to join said first and second parts together to form the coupling, such that the interface between the first and second pipeline sections 3, 5, in use, is retained by the formed coupling. Each of the first and second parts 7, 9 includes a first end portion 15 for engagement with the first pipeline section 3, adjacent the end of the same, in use; and a second end portion 17 for location with the second pipeline 5 adjacent the end of the same, in use. Further, at least one of the first or second end portions includes retention means 21 formed so as to protrude into and/or exert a pressure force on the external surface of the respective first and/or second pipeline sections, in use.
