[origin: CA3191762A1] The object of invention relates to a brush assembly (3) , a rotary brush tool and a method of machining a surface of a workpiece using the brush assembly (3) . For this purpose, the brush assembly (3) has a rotatable brush holder (10, 11) and a ring brush (4, 5) having an annular array (8) of outwardly projecting bristles (5) and a stop element (14) engaged in the rotating bristle array (8) . According to the invention, the stop element (14) is of noncircular cross section and is rotatable about its longitudinal axis (16) .

Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Bürstenaggregat (3), ein Rotationsbürstenwerkzeug und ein Verfahren zur Bearbeitung einer Oberfläche eines Werkstückes mithilfe des Bürstenaggregates (3). Dazu verfügt das Bürstenaggregat (3) über einen rotativ antreibbaren Bürstenhalter (10, 11) und eine Ringbürste (4, 5) mit einem Borstenkranz (8) mit nach außen abstehenden Borsten (5), und mit einem in den rotierenden Borstenkranz (8) eintauchenden Stoppmittel (14). Erfindungsgemäß ist das im Querschnitt unrund ausgebildete Stoppmittel (14) um seine Längsachse (16) rotierbar ausgebildet.
