[origin: WO2022096671A1] The invention relates to a patch (10) for covering a body area, wherein the patch (10) has: a thickness in a range of 5 to 5000 µm; a patch carrier layer (16); and an adhesive layer (18) of the patch carrier layer. The patch (10) is characterised in that the adhesive layer (18) of the patch carrier layer is designed for complete adhesion to the body area and comprises an application layer (12) that has a tab (32) in which at least one finger (30) can engage in order to apply the patch (10); or comprises an application layer (12) that has an adhesive layer (22) of the application layer to which adhesive layer at least one finger (30) is temporarily adhered in order to apply the patch (10); or comprises an application layer (12) which protrudes beyond the patch carrier layer (16); wherein, when the patch (10) is applied as intended, the patch carrier layer (16) is creased and/or bent and/or folded along a central axis (A) at an angle (α) of 0° to 170°, in that, when the patch (10) is applied as intended, the application layer (12) is creased and/or bent and/or folded along the central axis (A) or is severed along the central axis (A).
