[origin: WO2022096796A1] Front hood for a motor vehicle, comprising an outer skin and a liner (2) comprising a bottom wall (21) set apart from the outer skin, the hood (100) comprising a front edge (101) and opposite this a rear edge, two lateral edges (103, 104) connecting the front and rear edges on either side of the hood, a stiffener (3) between the outer skin and the liner (2), said hood (100) being noteworthy in that it comprises an absorption edge (111) corresponding to at least part of the front edge (101) of the hood, located on either side of a middle region (110) of said front edge (101), the absorption edge (111) being between the stiffener (3) and the front edge (101) of the hood, in such a way that the stiffness of the hood in a longitudinal direction - the longitudinal direction corresponding to the longitudinal direction of the vehicle once the hood (100) is installed on the vehicle - in the sense from the front edge (101) to the rear edge of said hood, along said absorption edge (111), is less than the stiffness, in that longitudinal direction, of the middle region (110) of said front edge.
