[origin: WO2022096414A1] The invention relates to a gate valve (1; 101; 201) with: a housing (2; 102; 202); a first port (3; 103; 203); a second port (4; 104; 204); a passage (5; 105; 205) provided between the ports (3, 4; 103, 104; 203, 204); a valve seat (6; 106; 206) formed at the passage (5; 105; 205); a closing element (7; 107; 207), which has a closure member (8; 108; 208), which can be brought into sealing contact with the valve seat (6; 106; 206), and a valve stem (9; 109; 209); and a seal (17; 117; 217), which cooperates with a seat. In order to improve the cleanability of the seal (17; 117; 217) it is proposed that the seat comprises a closed position seat (23; 123; 223) which is mounted on a component (22; 122; 222) which is displaceable relative to the valve stem (9; 109; 209).
