[origin: WO2022101281A1] The invention relates to a post for a protective barrier of the guardrail, balustrade or equivalent type, said post comprising two half-mounts (1a) assembled together to form a mount comprising fastening sites enabling its fastening to a filling structure, a plate for fastening to the floor or surface, mounted in the lower end of the mount. It is characterised in that each half-mount has two opposite longitudinal faces, a first longitudinal face (12a) comprising assembly means (13a, 14a) by snap-fitting functionally interacting with the assembly means (13a, 14a) of the other half-mount (1a) so as to contiguously assemble the two half-mounts (1a) together by snap-fitting. The invention further relates to such a protective barrier comprising at least two said posts connected together and held by a filling structure and a smooth handrail.
