[origin: WO2022106459A1] The invention relates to a cooking appliance (1) comprising a housing (2) in which a cooking chamber (3) is formed, and comprising a plate-type cooking chamber divider (23) that includes a base unit (26) and at least one heating element (27); the cooking chamber (3) has at least one cooking chamber divider insertion plane (25) on which the cooking chamber divider (23) can be placed in the cooking chamber (3) such that the cooking chamber (3) is divided into an upper cooking chamber region (3a) and a lower cooking chamber region (3b); the cooking appliance (1) includes a hot air system (12) that allows hot air to be conducted into the cooking chamber (3); a wall (10) delimiting the cooking chamber (3) has ventilation holes (13) through which the hot air of the hot air system (12) is conducted into the cooking chamber (3), all of the ventilation holes (13) being located exclusively above the cooking chamber divider insertion plane (25) when viewed in the vertical direction (y) of the cooking appliance (1).
