The gripping handle (6) has a first handle portion (22) that is integral with the main body (4), and the rechargeable battery (18) is at least partially housed in the first handle portion (22) and is removably attached to the first handle portion (22). The hand-held vacuum cleaner (2) has a battery interconnection board (33) which is arranged in the first handle portion (22) and which is configured to be electrically connected to the rechargeable battery (18) when the rechargeable battery (18) is attached to the first handle portion (22).
