[origin: WO2022161697A1] The invention relates to an end cab switcher locomotive (1) comprising buffer systems (10), and end cab (25) and a switchman's footstep (4) in front of the end cab (25) on the side of a first buffer system (10), the switchman's footstep (4) being arranged such that, when the buffer of the first buffer system (10) is completely elastically pushed in, its buffer plane lies in front of the switchman's footstep (4). The invention furthermore relates to a corresponding buffer system for an end cab locomotive of this type.
