[origin: WO2022175087A1] A method, a device and a control unit for establishing or for releasing a press fit between at least one first component (42) and at least one second component (34) and at least one wedge sleeve (43) arranged in between are described. During the producing or the releasing of the press fit, hydraulic fluid is introduced under pressure in each case between an outer surface of the wedge sleeve (43) and an inner side of the second component (34) and/or between an inner side of the wedge sleeve (43) and an outer side of the first component (42). An axial actuating force is determined during the establishing or the releasing of the press fit. The pressure at which the hydraulic fluid is introduced is varied in an automatically regulated manner, in the case of the presence of an axial actuating force greater than or equal to a predefined upper limit value, until the axial actuating force is lower than the predefined upper limit value.
