Furthermore, in a method for operating a cleaning device, when the cleaning brush collides with a raised part of the cleaning surface, the connecting arm is folded or bent from an initial position below the base body and/or radially inward by means of the joint. According to the invention, the cleaning brush can be driven over larger raised parts or obstacles without jamming, and/or the wear resistance of the cleaning brush is improved or the service life of the cleaning brush is prolonged without adversely affecting the cleaning efficiency.

Es werden eine Kehrbürste für ein Reinigungsgerät und ein Reinigungsgerät mit einer entsprechenden Kehrbürste vorgeschlagen, wobei die Kehrbürste einen Grundkörper, mindestens einen am Grundkörper angeordneten Verbindungsarm und mindestens einen am Verbindungsarm angeordneten Reinigungskopf aufweist, wobei der Verbindungsarm über ein Gelenk der Kehrbürste mit dem Grundkörper verbunden ist. Darüber hinaus wird ein Verfahren zum Betreiben eines Reinigungsgeräts vorgeschlagen, wobei bei Kollision der Kehrbürste mit einer Erhöhung einer Reinigungsfläche der Verbindungsarm mittels des Gelenks von einer Ausgangsposition unter dem Grundkörper und/oder radial nach innen umgebogen oder umgeknickt wird.
