[origin: CA3202613A1] The invention relates to a cable drum support (2) for rotatably supporting a cable drum (18), comprising: a transverse support (5) on which two parallel holding arms (7) are arranged, each holding arm (7) having a laterally protruding and rotatably mounted bearing pin (12) at a free end (11), wherein the bearing pins (12) are arranged on the holding arms (7) so as to face one another in a flush manner relative to one another and are parallel to the transverse support (5), and at least one of the holding arms (7) is movably mounted along the transverse support (5); and at least one actuatable actuator (24, 32) which is designed to move the at least one holding arm (7) and/or to apply a torque to at least one bearing pin (12) in order to rotate same about the longitudinal central axis (14) thereof.
