Abstract (en)
The invention concerns a power tool (100) including a chassis (110) and a guide bar (108) mounted to the chassis (110), the guide bar (108) having a central axis. The power tool (100) also include a handle (102) attached to the chassis (110) above the central axis of the guide bar (108) and a motor (200) housed within the chassis (110) to drive a chain (116) around the guide bar (108), in which the motor (200) is positioned beneath the central axis (112) of the guide bar (108) and a central axis (114) of the motor (200) is at a certain angle with respect to the central axis (112). The handle (102), the motor (200), and the battery pack mount (140) are positioned with respect to the chassis (110) to cause the power tool (100) to substantially be balanced in both lateral and longitudinal directions about a location near the trigger mechanism (104) when the battery pack (142) is mounted to the battery pack mount (140).
