[origin: WO2022136615A1] The invention relates to a tufting needle of a tufting machine, wherein the tufting machine is intended to insert, or tuft, cut-off pieces of thread into a base material, and the tufting needle has a needle support and a needle tip. The needle tip can be positioned on the needle support and can be connected thereto in a fixed manner, in particular such that it cannot rotate or be pulled off, and the needle tip is provided with an aligning element which cooperates with a mating aligning element of the needle support in order to align the needle tip on the needle support.
