[origin: WO2022139663A2] Disclosed herein is an automatic drill bit changer on a feed beam configured to be part of a drill rig for rock-drilling, wherein the drill bit changer is elongate and mounted along opposed first and second sides of the feed beam. The drill bit changer has a drill bit change positioner movably on the first side and reaching by a positioner arm underneath the feed beam to the second side and a combination of a drill bit feeder and a drill bit magazine mounted on the second side of the feed beam. The drill bit change positioner is capable of swinging with a single longitudinal and rotational movement axis from a drill bit feeder position on the second side to a protruded position at which it interacts with a drill rod to change drill bits. A drill rig so equipped and related method aspects are disclosed.
