Abstract (en)
A method for providing a scaled 3D model of a dental condition comprising: providing, an unscaled 3D model and/or a plurality of 2D images of the dental condition; detecting, via a scaling logic, one or more deterministic features in the unscaled 3D model and/or in at least one of the 2D images; computing, in response to the detection, one or more scaling factors; generating, the scaled 3D model, by: applying at least one of the scaling factors to the unscaled 3D model; or reconstruction using the plurality of 2D images. The present teachings also relate to systems, a dental scanner, software products, uses and storage media.
