[origin: WO2022156932A1] The invention relates to a shielding shoe (1a) for covering openings in the bottom of a walking beam furnace, the shielding shoe (1a) having a semi-circular recess (9a) and, as a result of which, can be held on a vertical post (5a) of the walking beam furnace.
