[origin: CN117123745A] The invention relates to a centering unit for centering a metal strand (S), preferably having a small or large strand cross-section, in a strand guide of a continuous casting machine. The aim of the invention is to improve the existing centering unit in such a way that a strand (S) having a varying strand width is also automatically centered. This problem is solved by a centering unit according to claim 1.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Zentriereinheit zur Zentrierung eines metallischen Strangs (S), vorzugsweise mit Knüppel- oder Vorblock-Querschnitt, in einer Strangführung einer Stranggießmaschine. Die Aufgabe der Erfindung besteht darin, eine existierende Zentriereinheit zu verbessern, dass auch Stränge (S) mit variierenden Strangbreiten automatisch zentriert werden. Diese Aufgabe wird durch eine Zentriereinheit nach Anspruch 1 gelöst.
