Abstract (en)

[origin: EP4035588A1] A system provides a trigger signal for controlling the operation of a scanner. A laser speckle vibrometry system is used for non-contact vibration sensing. A patient coil arrangement is provided for mounting adjacent (e.g. fixing to) a body of a patient and it comprises at least one window enabling passage of the laser light of the optical system to the body of the patient. The detected reflected laser light (through the window) is processed to detect the cardiac cycle and to generate a cardiac trigger signal for the control of the scanner.
