[origin: WO2023237254A1] The invention relates to a printing system (10) for printing printing products, comprising multiple digital printing stations (14) comprising at least one pre- and/or post-treatment station (18, 20, 22), multiple printing product supports (40) for receiving a printing product and transporting the printing product to the stations (14, 16, 18, 20, 22), and at least one plane (12a, 12b, 12c). Each of the printing product supports has a dedicated drive, a steerable chassis (42), and a control unit for independently moving the printing product support on the at least one plane. According to the invention, a first and second plane (12a, 12b, 12c) are provided which are formed substantially as continuous surfaces. Furthermore, the stations are arranged on the planes, on which the printing product supports can be freely moved. Additionally, a transport device (50) is provided which allows a printing product support to be transferred from a first plane to a second plane. The invention additionally relates to a method for operating such a printing system.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Druckanlage (10) zum Bedrucken von Druckgut mit mehreren Digitaldruckstationen (14) mit mindestens einer Vor- und/oder Nachbehandlungsstation (18, 20, 22), mehreren Druckgutträgern (40) zum Aufnehmen eines Druckgutes und zum Transportieren des Druckgutes zu den Stationen (14, 16, 18, 20, 22) und mindestens einer Ebene (12a, 12b, 12c). Hierbei haben die Druckgutträger jeweils einen eigenen Antrieb, ein lenkbares Fahrgestell (42) und eine Steuereinheit zum unabhängigen Verfahren der Druckgutträger auf der mindestens einen Ebene. Entsprechend der Erfindung sind eine erste und eine zweite Ebene (12a, 12b, 12c) vorgesehen, welche im Wesentlichen als durchgehende Fläche ausgebildet sind. Ferner sind die Stationen auf den Ebenen angeordnet, auf denen die Druckgutträger frei verfahrbar sind. Zusätzlich ist eine Transporteinrichtung (50) vorgesehen, welche den Transfer eine Druckgutträgers von einer ersten auf eine zweite Ebene ermöglicht. Außerdem betrifft die Erfindung ein Verfahren zum Betrieb einer derartigen Druckanlage.
