Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2023016722A1] The invention relates to a tracked vehicle, comprising: - a track (2), which is guided by means of a guide wheel (8); and - a chain tensioner (15, 16), containing a guide-wheel mount (7) which rotatably and eccentrically connects the guide wheel (8) to a vehicle hull (1) of the tracked vehicle. The chain tensioner according to the invention also contains a ball head spindle (6), which can act on the guide-wheel mount (7) in such a way that the position of the guide wheel (8) in relation to the vehicle hull (1) can be changed in accordance with the position of the ball head spindle (6). The ball head spindle (6) contains a locking means (4), which can block or allow the movement of the ball head spindle (6). Hydraulic or electrical energy can be supplied to the ball head spindle (6) in such a way that, depending on the energy amount, the ball head spindle (6) can be retracted or extended. By means of this implementation, the measuring and setting and the fixing of the chain tension can be carried out automatically from the driver's seat, without the need for access to the poorly accessible and generally heavily soiled chassis.
