Abstract (en)
There is described a cooking appliance (1) for the thermal treatment of food products comprising at least one heating zone (2) configured to receive a cooking vessel (3) containing the food product to be thermally treated and being controllable into an operative configuration in which the heating zone (2) is switched on and a rest configuration in which the heating zone (2) is switched off, a control unit (4) configured to control operation of the heating zone (2), when being controlled into the operative configuration, according to currently active cooking instructions and a memory unit (7) configured to at least temporarily store the currently active cooking instructions. The control unit (4) is configured to recall the currently active cooking instructions from the memory unit (7) after control of the heating zone (2) into the respective rest configuration and successive control of the heating zone (2) into the respective operative configuration and to newly control operation of the heating zone (2) according to the recalled currently active cooking instructions.
