[origin: WO2022258639A1] The invention relates to a light strip system for an elongate light strip luminaire with a data line, the system comprising: - at least one elongate support profile for fastening light modules to the support profile, the support profile being designed for mounting to a building structure using corresponding mounting means, especially mounted to the ceiling or suspended from the ceiling; - at least one light module, in particular a number of light modules, each having one or more light sources, more particularly LED light sources, and the light module is or can be fastened to the at least one support profile; - an electrical supply unit with a plurality of conductors provided in the carrier profile and for supplying the components of the light modules and optionally any functional modules with power; and - a data line for data transmission of user data; characterized in that: - the data line comprises at least one POF waveguide, in particular at least one conductor pair of two POF waveguides which is or can be arranged in or on the support profile; - at least one active data coupling unit having a data interface for optical data transmission via the POF waveguide, particularly via the conductor pair of POF waveguides is provided and is or can be mounted in or on the at least one support profile; - and the system is designed such that during operation electrical supply of the support profile results in or brings about power supply of the active data coupling unit.
