[origin: WO2022180042A1] The invention relates to a housing (100) for an electrical machine, which housing (100) is formed with a cylindrical cooling jacket (140) through which coolant (K) is able to flow and which has a plurality of cooling channels (142) that extend in a circumferential direction (U) and an inlet portion (141) acting as a distributor and an outlet portion (143) acting as a collector, wherein, between the inlet portion (141) and the outlet portion (143), there is arranged a partition wall (145) in which a bypass (146) is located, through which gas bubbles present in the inlet portion (141) can be diverted directly to the outlet portion (143). According to the invention, the cooling channels (142) extending in the circumferential direction (U) are connected by at least one transversely extending venting channel (147).
