[origin: CN117098665A] An IR sensitive lithographic printing plate precursor provides a stable printed image using a unique IR radiation sensitive composition in an infrared radiation sensitive image recording layer. The IR radiation sensitive composition comprises: (1) a free radical initiator composition comprising an electron donor; (2) a radically polymerizable composition; and (3) a color-changing compound represented by structure (I) having a conjugated carbon chain between aromatic end groups. The compound also has a-SO2-R3 group, wherein R3 represents an alkyl group, an aryl group or a heteroaryl group. After IR imaging, these precursors exhibit desirable printed images both when fresh and after dark storage. The precursor may be developed off-line or on-line.
