[origin: WO2022184195A1] The invention relates to a working cylinder and a method for production thereof, the working cylinder having a cylinder (1) and a piston unit (2); the cylinder (1) has a cylinder tube (3), a closure part (4a) and a further closure part (4b); the cylinder tube (3) has a cylinder tube end (5a) and a further cylinder tube end (5b); the closure part (4a) is located on the cylinder tube end (5a) and the further closure part (4b) is located on the further cylinder tube end (5b); the cylinder has a coupling portion (7a) which comprises the closure part (4a), the cylinder tube end (5a) and a hollow cylindrical adapter body (8a); the closure part (4a) has an external thread (9a) and the adapter body (8a) has an internal thread (10a) corresponding to the external thread (9a); the external thread (9a) and the internal thread (10a) form a common threaded portion which is designed to releasably couple the closure part (4a) and the adapter body (8a); the cylindrical tube end (5a) is integrally bonded to the adapter body (8a) on an adapter body end (8a.1) on the cylinder tube by means of a circumferential annular weld seam (11a); the annular weld seam (11a) forms a level of sealing which is tight against pressure media.
