Abstract (en)
According to the present invention, in order to provide an elevator system capable of avoiding interference between a pit device and a car without significantly increasing a hoistway dimension even though the car includes an evacuation ladder and the pit device is installed in a hoistway pit of the elevator, there is provided an elevator system in which a pit device is installed on a pit wall surface of a hoistway along which a car of an elevator moves up and down and an evacuation ladder is installed on a side plate of the car facing the pit wall surface of the hoistway on which the pit device is installed. The pit device and the evacuation ladder are installed at positions not overlapping as viewed from a plan or at positions different from each other.
