Die Erfindung betrifft ein Gewebeband, insbesondere Formiersieb, für eine Maschine zur Herstellung und/oder Verarbeitung einer Faserstoffbahn, umfassend eine obere Gewebelage mit oberen Längsfäden und mit diesen verwobenen oberen Querfäden, sowie eine untere Gewebelage mit unteren Längsfäden und mit diesen verwobenen unteren Querfäden, wobei die beiden Gewebelagen derart übereinander angeordnet sind, dass im bestimmungsgemäßen Gebrauch des Gewebebandes die obere Gewebelage der Faserstoffbahn zugewandt und die untere Gewebelage der Faserstoffbahn abgewandt ist, wobei die oberen Längsfäden ungleichmäßig voneinander beabstandet sind, wobei die oberen Längsfäden derart angeordnet sind, dass ihre durchschnittlichen Abstände die folgende Abfolge aufweisen, welche sich in Querrichtung des Gewebebandes stetig wiederholt: breiter Abstand, breiter Abstand, schmaler Abstand, wobei der Unterschied zwischen einem durchschnittlichen breiten Abstand und einem durchschnittlichen schmalen Abstand wenigstens 50% eines Durchmessers eines oberen Längsfadens entspricht.
