[origin: WO2022194984A1] 89 ABSTRACT The invention relates to a process for the manufacture of a perchlorate depleted milk product based on nanofiltration of dairy raw materials, thereby using a ceramic nanofiltration membrane. The invention further relates to methods for the preparation of an infant formula base and a milk-based infant formula using said perchlorate depleted milk product. The invention also envisages a perchlorate depleted retentate fraction used to produce a perchlorate depleted milk product, an infant formula base or a milk-based infant formula, an assortment comprising said formula and a system for the manufacture of a milk-based infant formula or an infant formula base. The invention also refers to the use of a ceramic nanofiltration membrane for the manufacture of a perchlorate depleted retentate fraction from a perchlorate containing milk product, an infant formula base comprising a perchlorate depleted milk product and an infant formula comprising a perchlorate depleted milk product.
