[origin: WO2022194402A1] The invention relates to a pressure-equalizing device (10) for equalizing an internal pressure in a receiving housing of an electrochemical or electrotechnical device, in particular for a battery housing, comprising a housing (20) having at least one gas passage opening (26.2), the gas passage opening (26.2) being closed off by means of a gas-permeable or gas-tight membrane (50) which is held in or on a membrane holder (26) in the housing (20), and wherein a cutting element (30) is assigned to the membrane (50), which cutting element is designed and positioned in such a way that, when there is a deformation of the membrane (50), the cutting element (30) destroys the membrane (50) at at least one location in order to create a flow connection between an inner side (21.2) of the pressure-equalizing device (10) and an outer side (21.1) of the pressure-equalizing device (10) through the gas passage opening (26.2). In order to implement a reliable functionality of such a pressure-equalizing device (10), it is provided according to the invention that the cutting element (30) is directly or indirectly coupled to the housing (20) by means of a spring section (31) so that, when there is a deformation of the membrane (50), the cutting element is, at least in regions, adjusted.
