[origin: WO2022200255A1] The invention relates to a filter cartridge (4) for use inside a water tank of a household appliance, such as a drinks machine, in particular a coffee machine or the like, having a filter housing (5) that has a wall separating the housing interior from the housing exterior, wherein a filter inlet opening is provided, which is open with respect to the outer surroundings of the filter housing (5) when the filter cartridge (4) is in use, wherein, with respect to the direction of flow of the water during use, a device for guiding water inside the filter housing (5) is provided and connected to the filter inlet opening, said device ending in a filter outlet line for drawing water out of the filter cartridge (4) and comprising at least one filter chamber containing at least one filter medium, and wherein a filter connecting piece (9) having an annular filter sealing face for connecting the filter cartridge (4) is provided in a water tank. The filter cartridge is characterised in that a guide structure is arranged inside the filter sealing face, separately therefrom, on the side of the filter, for receiving a centring element for centring the filter cartridge (4).
