[origin: WO2022201045A1] The object of the application is an apparatus for correcting the shape of an edge (14) of second straws (B) comprising a conveyor (4) provided with pockets (5, 6) adapted to convey straws (A, B) situated in two paths transversely to the conveying direction, a displacing unit (20) adapted to longitudinally displace the conveyed second straws (B) in the pockets (6) of the conveyor (4), and positioned tangentially to the circumferential surface of the conveyed second straws (B), and an assembling unit (12) for assembling the straws (A, B) by inserting the first straw (A) into the second straw (B). The apparatus is characterized in that, between the pockets (5, 6) of the conveyor (4), correcting elements (7) for correcting shape of the edge (14) of the second straws (B) are arranged and adapted to inserting into the second straws (B), the displacing unit (20) being adapted to slide the second straws (B) over the correcting elements (7) for correcting shape of the edge (14). An object of the application is also a method for correcting shape of the edge of the second straws (B).
