[origin: WO2023083504A1] The invention relates to a production line (01) for processing metal sheets (08), having a metal sheet printing machine (03) and/or a coating machine (06), and having a continuous dryer (17) for drying the metal sheets (08) printed by the metal sheet printing machine (03) and/or coated by the coating machine (06), wherein directly upstream of the continuous dryer (17) in the transport direction (T) of the metal sheets (08) there is a loading station (02) for loading the continuous dryer (17) with the printed and/or coated metal sheets (08), the loading station (02) being designed to arrange metal sheets (08), which are fed successively thereto, individually in one of a plurality of wire frames (22) provided in the loading station (02), wherein a revolving traction means (29) is provided, said traction means (29) passing at least through the continuous dryer (17), wherein the traction means (29) has at least one coupling element (37), each coupling element (37) being designed to engage the associated wire frame (22), which has received one of the metal sheets (08), and to couple the wire frame (22) to the traction means (29), wherein directly downstream of the continuous dryer (17) there is an unloading station (07) for unloading the metal sheets (08) transported through the continuous dryer (17), the unloading station (07) being designed to decouple the wire frame (22) transporting the metal sheet (08) from the traction means (29), wherein a transport device (63) which is independent of the traction means (29) is provided, said transport device (63) being designed to transport wire frames (22) that have been decoupled from the traction means (29) at the unloading station (07) back to the loading station (02) individually or in stacked or imbricated form.
