[origin: WO2022207365A1] The invention relates to a hot-dip galvanised steel sheet having a Zn-Mg-Al coating comprising between 0.1 and 8.0 wt.% aluminium, between 0.1 and 8.0 wt.% magnesium, and the remainder zinc and unavoidable impurities, the coating containing zinc grains and further phases of magnesium and/or aluminium as well as eutectic structures comprising at least intermetallic zinc-magnesium phases, a native oxide layer being formed on the coating. According to the invention, the coating underneath the native oxide layer has an area ratio of at least 35% in which there is an average nanohardness of at least 4 GPa.
