[origin: WO2022214294A1] The invention relates to a dumbbell as sports equipment having a bar for releasably and/or interchangeably holding weights and having at least one weight, wherein the bar has at least one external thread, and also having a clamping nut for simply and quickly changing the weights. This is achieved according to the invention in that the clamping nut takes the form of a quick-clamping nut which has a through-opening with an internal thread, wherein the through-opening is widened at the ends of the through-opening in such a way that the bar can be inserted into the through-opening along an insertion axis with the external thread without engagement in the internal thread, whereas the clamping nut is released with respect to the bar and is in a release position, wherein the internal thread and the external thread can be brought into engagement and thus into an engagement position and/or can be released from one another.
