[origin: WO2022218913A1] Electronic smoking device (1) for generating an inhalable aerosol (2), wherein the electronic smoking device comprises a mouth piece (3) and a body section (4), the body section comprising a substance cartridge (5) with an aerosolizable substance (5a), a heating section (6), and a hull (7), wherein the heating section is arranged in between the mouth piece and the substance cartridge, and wherein the heating section is heatable to aerosolise the aerosolizable substance. According to the invention, the heating section (6) comprises a porous material (8) and a heating element (9) to heat the porous material, wherein the porous material also comprises a cavity (10) which creates a fluid flow path (f) from the substance cartridge to the mouth piece.
