Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Schloss (1) für ein Kraftfahrzeug, insbesondere ein Seitentürschloss (1), aufweisend ein Gesperre (7), eine Auslösehebelkette (8) mit einem Auslösehebel (6) und einem Betätigungshebel (2), wobei der Betätigungshebel (2) mittels eines Kupplungshebels (3) mit dem Auslösehebel (6) kuppelbar ist, und einem Steuerhebel (4) zum Steuern des Kupplungshebels (3), wobei der Steuerhebel (4) mit einem Massenträgheitselement (5) derart zusammenwirkt, dass eine Bewegung des Steuerhebels (4) in Abhängigkeit einer Grenzgeschwindigkeit des Betätigungshebels (2) mittels des Massenträgheitselements (5) unterbindbar ist, und wobei das Übersetzungsverhältnis zwischen Steuerhebel (4) und Massenträgheitselement (5) über den gesamten Betätigungsweg nahezu konstant oder sich vergrößernd ausgeführt ist.
