[origin: WO2022223707A1] An aerosol generating article (1, 2, 3, 4) for use with an aerosol generating device (102) comprises a substantially planar aerosol generating substrate (14), at least one channel- forming strip (40) extending along the substantially planar aerosol generating substrate (14), and a wrapping member (22) surrounding the substantially planar aerosol generating substrate (14) and the at least one channel-forming strip (40). The aerosol generating substrate (14) comprises an aerosol generating material that generates an aerosol when heated by the aerosol generating device (102). The at least one channel- forming strip (40) comprises a meltable material which is configured to melt to form an airflow channel (16) when heated by the aerosol generating device (102). The meltable material does not comprise any active agents capable of releasing volatile components into the generated aerosol when the meltable material is heated by the aerosol generating device (102), and may comprise a non-toxic material such as wax.
