[origin: WO2022223369A1] A workpiece holder (60) for receiving and fixing flat blanks (102) has a base body (126) with a cutout (124) and at least one clamping jaw (138, 140), which is fastened to the base body (126) and is movable relative to the base body (126). The at least one clamping jaw (138, 140), in a clamped state, is preloaded by at least one preloading element (192) in the direction of the base body (126) in order to clamp a flat blank (102) between the base body (126) and the at least one clamping jaw (138, 140). A clamped blank (102) is accessible at least on its first flat side (202), which faces the at least one clamping jaw (138, 140), and is accessible on its opposite, second flat side (202) through the cutout (124). Provided between the at least one clamping jaw (138, 140) and the base body (126) is at least one fluidic actuator (220), which is able to be acted on by a fluid in order, in a releasing state, to urge the base body (126) and the at least one clamping jaw (138, 140) apart in order to release the clamped blank (102). The disclosure also relates to a device (70) for supporting blanks (102) made of flat material, to a machine tool (10), and to a method for machining flat, circular-blank-like workpieces (100).
