[origin: WO2022223329A1] The invention describes a system for extraction of heated heavy fuel oil from an elongated heavy fuel oil storage tank (1). The system comprises a convection shield (2) with closed top (8) and side (9) and a substantially open bottom, wherein the convection shield (2) is mounted with a clearance between the bottom of the storage tank (1) and the lower edge of the convection shield to allow for entry of heavy fuel oil into the convection shield through the open bottom with a heating element (4) and a fuel suction line (3) arranged inside. The system is characterized by an elongated inflow convection shield (10) connected to the lower edge of the convection shield (2) and having an inflow heating element (15) inside, sharing a common interior allowing unhindered flow of heated heavy fuel oil from the inflow convection shield to the convection shield.
