[origin: WO2022232699A1] A wireless charging system includes a battery-powered mobile electronic device and a component group. The battery-powered mobile electronic device is configured to have an installed battery pack. The battery-powered mobile electronic device is configured for wired-only charging of the installed battery pack. The component group within the installed battery pack comprises one or more battery cells, a power management integrated circuit (IC) configured to manage charging of the one or more battery cells, a wireless receiver system configured to wirelessly receive power from a power source outside of the battery-powered mobile electronic device for charging the one or more battery cells and a pack microcontroller interfaced to the battery-powered mobile electronic device, presenting an interface consistent with a wired-only charged battery pack.
