[origin: WO2022253616A1] The invention relates to a method for processing, by means of recycling, a workpiece (4) made of electroplated plastic, in which method: a coating is removed from the workpiece (4) by means of a fragmentation unit (22) by applying the electrohydraulic effect to a suspension containing plastic granules (32) and containing coating granules (34); the suspension is dewatered; and a magnetic separator (42) is used to separate the plastic granules (32) from the coating granules (34) by means of magnetic separation.
