[origin: WO2022234218A1] The invention relates to a configuration method for a terminal device (10), able to transmit and receive data on a communications network organized into network slices, the method being implemented by an administration entity (30) of the network that is able to communicate with the terminal device (10) via the network, and comprising, following receipt (100), from the terminal device (10), of a registration request or a request to establish a data session, obtaining (110) at least one slice identifier associated with said terminal device (10), determining (120) a maximum number of slices accessible to said terminal device (10), and, if the determined maximum number of slices is lower than the number of obtained identifiers, transmitting (130), to the terminal device (10), a response message to said received request, said response message indicating that the request has been declined and/or a list of identifiers from among the obtained slice identifiers.
