Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2022238221A1] The invention relates to a disc brake for a motor vehicle, which disc brake comprises: a brake carrier; two brake pads; a brake calliper which is mounted on the brake carrier so as to be axially displaceable; an application device which has a thrust piece having an internal thread and by means of which the brake pads can be pressed against a brake disc; and an adjusting unit which has an adjusting spindle (22) for adjusting a clearance of the disc brake. The adjusting spindle (22) is provided with an external thread (28) by means of which it is screwed into the internal thread of the thrust piece, and can be axially reset by means of a resetting tool using a rotational movement. The disc brake (1) also contains a cylindrical adapter (32.1) which is inserted into a recess (30) in the adjusting spindle (22) at an end of the adjusting spindle (22) facing away from the brake pads, the adapter (32.1) having a cavity (34) in its centre which is designed as a tool interface for the resetting tool.
